WHEN DO I RECEIVE MY TICKETS?
You will receive your tickets later on, but no later than 3 days before the show (1 March 2023).
I BOUGHT MY TICKETS ALREADY BUT HAVE NOT RECEIVED THEM YET / I CANNOT FIND MY TICKETS. / I CAN’T FIND MY CONFIRMATION MAIL ANYMORE
I ALREADY BOUGHT A TICKET, BUT DON’T WANT IT ANYMORE. CAN I SELL MY TICKET?
- Log into your ALDA fan account via this portal or via the button below.
- Click on your order and select the option “Sell”
- Select the tickets you want to return and click “Next” to confirm. You can always withdraw your offer until your tickets have been sold.
- As soon as there’s a match with a request, you will receive a full refund of the ticket price via the payment method you used during checkout. We will only charge a small fee for the transfer.
Please note. offering your ticket(s) via the waiting list is no guarantee of selling your ticket. Your ticket(s) will only be sold when there is demand.

WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN LATE, FINAL AND VIP?
Regular tickets (regular, late bird, final tickets) will provide general access to the event, and the price will rise as demand increases. For example, a Final Saturday ticket does not give more access than a Late Saturday ticket. It only indicates in what price tier you have bought your ticket.
VIP tickets provide access to the VIP deck, VIP Fastlane, and a voucher for a free locker. In addition, Saturday VIP has exclusive access to the warm-up set at 9 PM and guaranteed access to the main stage, even when the stage is full.
I ALREADY BOUGHT MY TICKETS FOR 3 + 4 SEPTEMBER 2021, ARE THEY STILL VALID?
The event was rescheduled to 3 + 4 March 2023. Therefore, if you have bought tickets for the ASOT1000 Celebration Weekend on 3+4 September, your tickets are still valid for the ASOT Celebration Weekend on 3+4 March 2023.
I ALREADY HAVE TICKETS, DO I STILL HAVE TO DO SOMETHING?
No, if you held on to your tickets (so you did not request a refund for your tickets), you don’t need to do anything. You will receive your tickets later on.
CAN I UPGRADE MY TICKET?
No, unfortunately, ticket upgrades are not available. Please consider this before you purchase your ticket(s).
I WANT A TICKET, BUT IT’S ALREADY SOLD OUT?!
- Go to the official waiting list shop via this link
- Register yourself and your friend(s) for the desired ticket(s)
- You will receive an e-mail when there is a match
- Be quick because you will have 48 hours in order to purchase the ticket(s)!
Please note, requesting your ticket(s) via the waiting list is no guarantee of buying your ticket. You are able to purchase ticket(s) when there is an offer.
DO I NEED TO PERSONALISE MY TICKETS?
Yes, personalizing your ticket(s) for ASOT 1000 is mandatory. You will receive an email from Paylogic which contains a link that gives access to the personalization page. You are also able to access the page from your ALDA account.
Personalization is possible from Monday 31st of October at 9 AM. There is no deadline for personalizing your tickets as it can be done during the event.
AM I ABLE TO CHANGE THE NAME ON MY TICKET?
Yes, changing the name on your ticket is possible via the name change module of Paylogic. Please be aware: a small fee will be charged so if you don’t know who will come along, wait a little bit longer to personalizing the tickets.
Please find below the instructions on how to change the name on the E-ticket.
- After you purchase your ticket, log in with your ALDA account.
- Click on view order.
- Click on change of name.
- Select the ticket whose name you want to change.
- Enter the email address of the new visitor
- Select your preferred payment method
- Complete the name change.
The new visitor will receive an email in which the ticket can be claimed.
VIP TICKETS HAVE ‘GUARANTEED ACCESS TO THE MAINSTAGE’, BUT WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?
With both Weekend and Saturday tickets, you can access all areas during that night. However, due to safety reasons, the main stage can be closed on Saturday when the maximum capacity of visitors is reached. If you have a VIP ticket, you can make use of the VIP fast lane, which gives you guaranteed access to the main stage.
HOW DOES ‘SEND TO A FRIEND’ WORK?
If you have bought tickets for yourself and your friends, you have received an email from Paylogic which gives access to the personalization page. On this page, you can invite your friends by mail to claim the ticket you bought for them using send to a friend. He/She is then able to claim the ticket and personalize the ticket themselves.
WHAT DOES A TICKET INSURANCE MEAN?
Ticket insurance means that you insure your tickets against unforeseen circumstances. If you cannot visit the event due to unforeseen circumstances, this will be covered by the insurance. PLEASE NOTE: Cancellation of the event due to COVID-19 is not covered by this insurance.
This year’s edition of A State of Trance will be a cashless event, so you won’t need to bring any cash with you! You can make payments during the A State of Trance Celebration weekend with a variety of methods including debit/credit card, Google Pay, and Apple Pay.
Our bars and food outlets accept several different cards, including Maestro, V-Pay, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, Google Pay, Diners, JBC & Unionpay, and ASOT Payment cards.
For the Alpine salespoints and merchandise stand it’s a little different. There we accept Maestro, Mastercard, Visa, Visa Electron, V-Pay, Amex, JCB, Bancontract, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay, and iCard!
If you prefer to pay with cash, A State of Trance will provide two cash top-up points within the venue to change your cash into an ASOT payment card. These points can be found near the visitation area of the general entrance and near the Oval stage, and the festival floor map will show their exact location. For just € 2,-, you can buy a cash card and add any amount up to € 1.000,- to your card. ASOT Payment cards can be used multiple times for extra cash uploads, and you can easily pay at all bars and food outlets with your cash card.
However, it’s important to keep in mind that payment cards with specific credit that can be purchased during this event are only valid during the event. The organization will not refund the purchase amount of the credit on the payment card after the event, and if the payment card is lost or stolen, a refund of the remaining credit is not possible. Additionally, the ASOT Payment card cannot be used to pay at the alpine salespoints and merchandise stand.
Will there be lockers available?

Lockers are available at the venue and can be bought online through the online shop of our locker partner Locker Company. We recommend you secure your locker in advance, so you don’t miss out and it saves time at the event. Buy your locker(s) here!
Please note, lockers bought in advance are cheaper than at the event.
Venue & Hours
ASOT Celebration Weekend 2023 will take place in the Jaarbeurs Utrecht.
Location: Jaarbeursplein 6, 3521 AL Utrecht
Below you will find the hours in which the event takes place each day. Please keep in mind that the opening hours differ per ticket type so take a good look at the ticket that you have in your possession.
- Doors: 17:30
- Show: 19:00 – 01:00
- Doors Weekend + Saturday VIP tickets: 20:00
- Show Weekend + Saturday VIP tickets: 21:00 – 06:00
- Doors Saturday GA tickets: 22:00
- Show Saturday GA tickets: 22:00 – 06:00
How to get there / accessibility
You can visit the Jaarbeurs in various ways. The easiest and most sustainable option is to come by public transport or bicycle.
The Jaarbeurs is positioned next to Utrecht Central Station and therefore has great accessibility by train. From Utrecht Central Station, follow the signs that read ‘Jaarbeursplein’. It is a five-minute walk from the train station to the venue.
Please note, besides the regular schedule, there are no extra trains available for the Friday show (Saturday morning). Be aware that there are limited trains running from Utrecht Central Station after the end time (01:00 AM) of A State of Trance. We strongly advise you to plan your trip ahead by using the NS planner or the 9292 apps!
On Sunday morning extra trains are scheduled from 6:00 AM. We strongly advise you to plan your trip ahead by using the NS planner or the 9292 app!
When buying an NS-return ticket, your travel is valid until 04:00 AM that night. In case you would like to return after 04:00 AM a single train ticket is required. An alternative can be OV-pay. Check https://www.ovpay.nl/en for more information.
Bicycle parking is facilitated at P3. This parking is free of charge and storage at your own risk. There are also two bicycle parking spots, indoors and guarded, located near Utrecht Central Station. For the first 24 hours, you can park your bike here for free. Note: you need a public transport card (OV chip card) to park your bike at the bicycle parking facility.
A State of Trance is accessible by car. You can park your car at the following parking spots at the Jaarbeurs; P2 & P4. Plan your route in advance with Truus van Lierlaan 1, Utrecht as the destination. Check vananaarbeter.nl for current road works. The Jaarbeurs are mentioned on the signs along the highway. When you arrive at the location, follow the instructions of the parking supervisors. You can buy your parking ticket at the parking gate for €20,00 and can only be paid by PIN. If all parking spots are taken it is also a possibility to park your car at other nearby parking lots in Utrecht.
If you travel to Jaarbeurs by taxi or Uber, you can be dropped off at the designated taxi or Uber stand.
Is the event wheelchair accessible?
There will be special lanes for people with physical disabilities. These special lanes are located at each of the entrances. Upon entering the venue, you may use these lanes, but only when you’re prevented from using the regular entrance lanes due to physical disabilities. There will be a wheelchair deck located at the Main Stage area. The VIP facilities and VIP deck are not accessible for wheelchairs.
Make sure to bring your ID and your ticket. The minimum age for the event is 18+ so we cannot grant access to visitors younger than 18 years old. Therefore, it is important to take legal identification with you for security to be able to check your age. Please do not print the E-ticket but download the ticket on your mobile instead.
No entrance after
There will be no access granted to the event after the following hours so make sure you are on time.
- Friday – after 00:00 (midnight)
- Saturday – after 05:00 AM
As a standard procedure, all visitors and crew are thoroughly inspected. Visitors are not allowed to bring luggage and/or backpacks to the event. You are allowed to bring handbags of a maximum size of A4 and 10cm thickness.
The safety of our visitors is always a high priority. Regarding recent developments worldwide, we are extra cautious with all procedures. We ask for your understanding of this
A party without music is like a carbonated drink without fizz. But going deaf or having ringing in your ears that simply won’t go away, is a very sad memento of a good party. So go easy on your ears and be sure to wear earplugs if the sound level exceeds 80 dB(A). Earplugs can be bought at the info stand or at separate earplug outlets.
During ASOT Celebration Weekend 2023 we celebrate safely. When you (or your friend) are not feeling well, please visit our first aid team. The first aid team is your friend and is there to help you without judgment. More information about Celebrate Safe can be found here.
At A State of Trance we respect all sexual orientations and gender identities. We do not tolerate any form of (sexual) harassment. If you, or the people in your surroundings, are being harassed you can turn to our first aid team for support and help. They are trained to help you.
We have a zero-tolerance policy and therefore discourage you to bring any (soft)drugs to the event. If one of these is detected during visitation, you will be denied access to the event. Public use of drugs at the event also leads to removal. Please respect our regulations.
Smoking is only allowed in the designated smoking areas located within the Jaarbeurs. Check our floor plan for the location of these areas or follow the signs inside the venue. Note that we will not be selling cigarettes at A State of Trance Celebration Weekend.
Lost & Found
In case you lose any personal belongings, you can check with ALDA information stand about lost or found items. If at the end of the event, your belongings haven’t been found, you can send an e-mail to email@example.com
If you find any personal belongings, you can bring them to our information stands or locker desks.
Please be aware of your valuable belongings and keep an eye out for pickpockets.
Due to the capacity of the Main Stage Area and for safety reasons there might be a moment when the area is temporarily full. We ask for your understanding and to try again later. For the VIPs: Don’t forget to benefit from the special VIP lanes at the Main Stage entrance. VIP ticket holders have access to the Main Stage at any time. Find this lane on the Floorplan as well.
Payment cards with a specific credit that can be purchased during this event are only valid during this event. After the event has ended, the organizer is never obliged to refund the purchase amount on the payment card. If the payment card is lost or stolen, a refund of the remaining credit is not possible. The organization is never liable for loss and/or theft of a payment card.
