Welcome to the very first edition of A State Of Trance By Day, the ultimate behind the scenes experience for everyone with a soft spot for electronic music. Let us take you on a ride, become part of the ASOT family and get excited about the professional side of music and events. You may even find yourself wanting to change your career after today or improve the way you’re doing your own thing already. A State of Trance By Day is here for you to help you find your destination!

A State of Trance is a music industry conference unlike any other you may have visited before. Workshops and lectures by keynote speakers cover topics such as music production, stage design, mental health, AI challenges and opportunities. There is no need to travel from one session to the other as all sessions take place in the Room Mate Bruno Hotel, which is located in Rotterdam’s trendy Kop van Zuid area.

Electronic music is a way of life, but also a way of making a living. We are a community of co-creation that includes producers, DJs, designers, stage builders, videographers, marketeers and many other professionals and we wholeheartedly invite you to become part of it.

Taking place on Friday the 23rd and Saturday 24th of February.

Mind

The healing powers of music are incredible, but the industry also comes with mental health challenges. Join us for a series of sessions on self care including a keynote lecture by Armin van Buuren as well as yoga and mindfulness workshops. A healthy mind is key. Let’s get better together!

Art

In-depth workshops on stage design and various forms of photography are central to our A State of Art offerings. Because it takes so much more than great music to create unforgettable events. Are you an up-and-coming artist? Then this part of the conference is custom-made for you!

Talent

Deepen your production skill set under the supervision of experienced artists and get advice on how to find your way to your audience during talks about demo dropping and labels.

Knowledge

We know much more about female representation, AI and brand development than we did in the early days of raving. A State Of Knowledge offers a carefully curated program around these learnings. Are you the academic type? Then don’t miss these sessions!
